Accounting Leadership RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Accounting professional to spearhead our U.S. accounting operations.Job Summary:This role requires a seasoned Accountant with strong leadership skills and expertise in full-cycle accounting, tax preparation, payroll administration, and entity setup.About the Job:Key Responsibilities:Manage daily and monthly accounting operations for multiple U.S. entities, including general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, accruals, and reporting.Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring IRS and GAAP compliance.Develop scalable workflows, systems, and SOPs to increase efficiency and introduce automation tools.Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance guidance as the team expands, playing a key strategic role in the company's growth and operational infrastructure.Tax Preparation & Compliance:Prepare and file federal and state tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065) and K-1s, ensuring timely compliance and accuracy.Handle quarterly estimated taxes and compliance calendars, review and respond to IRS or state notices when needed.Payroll Administration:Process payroll using systems like Gusto, ADP, QuickBooks Payroll, etc., ensuring proper worker classification (W-2 vs. 1099).Manage payroll tax filings and year-end compliance, supporting clients with entity setup (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnership).Entity Setup & Advisory:Support clients with LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp, and Partnership setup, applying for TIN for foreign owners and advising on best entity structures based on tax and operational needs.Assist with EIN registration, S-Corp elections, state filings, and compliance, ensuring foreign-owned U.S. entity obligations and withholding requirements are met.Required Skills & Qualifications:5+ years of U.S. accounting and tax filing experience, with strong expertise in corporate and partnership returns (1120, 1120-S, 1065, K-1s).Hands-on experience preparing filings for 1099s, W-2s, payroll taxes, and foreign partner structures.Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, and payroll platforms, with demonstrated ability to create systems or processes from scratch.Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.High sense of ownership and accountability, with preference for CPA or EA certification and experience managing or mentoring junior staff.What We Offer:Fully remote, work-from-home role with major growth potential – opportunity to become Director or Head of Accounting.Direct involvement in building processes, systems, and a full team, with high autonomy and real decision-making authority.Supportive culture that rewards ownership, initiative, and problem-solving, with opportunities for long-term growth and development.
