Job Description – Senior Automotive Interior Design Manager Hiring for: Client Location: Dharwad Experience: 15–20 Years Domain: Automotive Interior Module Design Software: CATIA V5 Role Overview We are seeking highly experienced Senior Automotive Design Engineers specializing in Automotive Interior Module Design . The ideal candidate must have extensive experience working with CATIA V5, strong engineering fundamentals, and hands-on expertise in interior trims, modeling, detailing, and regulatory compliance. Mandatory Skills 15–20 years of Automotive Interior Design experience. Strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5 . Deep expertise in Interior Modules & Trim components . Strong understanding of GD&T and DFMEA . Knowledge of plastic design , tooling principles , and draft analysis . Experience using 3DX PLM & Enovia . Key Responsibilities Design & Development Design and develop Automotive Interior & Trim Components such as: Crash Pad, Connection Duct, Glove Box, Driver Panel, Instrument Panel, Side Covers, Cluster Fascia, Shrouds. Create 3D parametric models, surfaces, and drawings in CATIA V5 with complete GD&T. Conduct concept design, B-Side development , and incorporate manufacturing tool requirements . Ensure models meet tangency, gap , and client craftsmanship standards. Engineering & Technical Expertise Strong working knowledge of GD&T , DFMEA , DFM/DFA/DFS , DVP , and tolerance stack-up . Understanding of ECE, EEC, FMVSS, ADR regulatory standards. Basic knowledge of plastic molding , tooling direction , draft analysis , sliders/lifters. Perform part feasibility , draft checks, parting surface creation, and solid body closure. Benchmarking of vehicles for features, weight , and cost optimization . Collaboration & Execution Work closely with global engineering, design, and tooling teams. Provide alternative design solutions aligned with design intent and engineering constraints.
