Operations Manager Role OverviewThe role of an Operations Manager is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination between sourcing, logistics, finance, and clients to meet operational deadlines.Import Operations Management: This includes customs clearance, correct HS-code usage, and minimizing landed cost to optimize supply chain efficiency.Bridge Financial Planning and Operations by forecasting fund needs and ensuring timely cash flow for both imported and local procurements.Provide high-quality reporting and risk management, enabling proactive decision-making by senior management.Key Responsibilities Include:Sourcing & Production Monitoring: Liaise with sourcing/procurement teams, track goods at various stages, and raise alerts when supplier timelines are not met to ensure timely delivery.Import Clearance & Customs Management: Select and manage authorized clearing agents, ensure timely follow-up on goods in transit, and apply accurate HS Codes to minimize duty and cost.Logistics & Client Delivery: Coordinate with logistics providers, communicate with clients regarding delivery timelines, delays, and expected dates, and analyze causes for delay and present solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.Financial Planning & Cash Flow Management: Monitor Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for all import consignments, prepare and present detailed notifications to the finance team, and plan for local procurement payments ahead of time to maintain a smooth cash flow cycle.
