Costing SpecialistWe are seeking a skilled Costing Specialist to join our organization. This role will be responsible for overseeing the transition of business unit level costing activities to the finance center of excellence, as well as managing product costing activities within the enterprise resource planning system (SAP). Additionally, this position will involve establishing processes for analyzing variances and providing actionable insights to reduce deviations from established standards.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the single point of contact for SAP product costingIndependently manage entire product costing activities on SAPRegularly review materials pending cost release and collaborate with markets for timely updates of standard costsProvide end-to-end support for the release of standard costs in accordance with established group methodology for standard cost calculationConduct reviews to ensure the accuracy of standard costsReview and validate master data components impacting product costing such as Bill of Materials, Routings, Costing Lot Size and Procurement KeysOperational Analysis:Analyze procurement transactions and identify causes for price varianceReview exceptions and abnormal variances and collaborate with markets to implement corrective actionsConsolidate factory variance analysisDevelop reports providing insights into price and factory variancesMonth Close Activities:Review gross stocks and reports providing value of gross stock based on group accounting policyCalculate variances according to group policiesAdhere to standard methodology for calculating provisions and propose improvements as neededAd Hoc Business Support:Conduct in-depth analyses of transactions and processes to identify issues and provide solutionsValidate dashboards and reportsProvide guidance to markets regarding standard processes and methodologies in areas related to costing and inventory valuation
