Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PHP Developer to join our backend development team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing server-side logic, maintaining and optimising web applications, and integrating front-end elements built by your co-workers. A deep understanding of cyber security practices and secure coding principles is highly desirable.Key Responsibilities- Develop, record, and maintain robust PHP applications and backed services.- Work closely with front-end developers and UI/UX designers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, DevOps, QA) to define, design, and ship new features.- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.- Write clean, well-designed code following best practices and coding standards.- Build reusable PHP modules and libraries for future use.- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product and databases to ensure strong optimisation and functionality.- Implement and adhere to cyber security best practices, including input validation, authentication, and access control.Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- 2+ years of experience in PHP development.- Strong knowledge of object-oriented PHP and MVC frameworks (such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter).- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery).- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).- Knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL and database design principles.- Understanding of RESTful API development and integration.- Awareness of common web security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and mitigation techniques.- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development process.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
