Location:

The role requires travel across India, specifically in Jharkhand and Odisha. Candidates must be comfortable covering multi-day events in these regions, with frequent travel and on-the-ground reporting.


Role Description:

We are looking for freelance journalists with a strong background in journalism and mass communications. As a freelance consultant, you will be responsible for attending various events across India, primarily in Jharkhand and Odisha, and providing in-depth event coverage. This includes preparing detailed summaries, event reports, and media content in English. The role requires strong coordination and communication with client teams and the ability to work independently. The candidate should be proactive, highly organized, and capable of meeting deadlines. Prior experience covering multi-day events and working in similar projects is essential.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English, Odia, and Bengali is a must.
  • At least 5 years of experience in reporting and journalism, preferably with leading media houses.
  • Proven experience in event coverage and writing event summaries and reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-driven, highly organized, and able to solve problems independently.
  • Ability to coordinate with client teams and manage timelines effectively.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Jharkhand and Odisha and cover multi-day events.
  • Previous experience working on similar projects is required.
  • Comfortable working on a contractual, intermittent basis.
