Position Overview

The Land Acquisition Specialist will be integral to the successful development of ACME Group's wind and solar projects. This role involves identifying, negotiating, and acquiring land necessary for project development while collaborating with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Land Identification & Evaluation: Research and identify potential land parcels for wind and solar projects, conducting feasibility studies and assessments.
  • Negotiation & Acquisition: Lead negotiations with landowners, stakeholders, and government entities to secure land leases, easements, and purchases.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with landowners, local communities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth acquisition processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land acquisition, zoning, and environmental impact.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on land parcels, including title searches, environmental assessments, and land-use regulations.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with project development, legal, and environmental teams to align land acquisition efforts with project timelines and requirements.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to land acquisition processes and provide regular updates to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 10-30 years of experience in land acquisition, specifically within wind and solar projects.
