SAP Security Specialist

We have a SAP Security Specialist position (Contract - Work-from-Home) for one of our clients who is a niche US product company.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain SAP security roles and authorizations across multiple SAP systems.
- Lead roles redesign projects to streamline access, reduce SoD conflicts, and align with evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into secure SAP access models.
- Manage user provisioning, role assignments, and access reviews.
- Handle SAP security incidents and requests using ServiceNow Incident and Change Management workflows.
- Support internal and external audits (SOX, GDPR, etc.) and ensure compliance.
- Document security processes, role design standards, and change management procedures.
- Participate in SAP upgrades, migrations, and implementations from a security perspective.
- Willing to work in shifts, as needed.
Qualifications
· Minimum of a Bachelor Degree is required
· 5-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Security administration
· Proven expertise in role redesign and optimization
· Strong command of SAP authorization concepts (PFCG, SU01, SUIM, SU53)
· Experience with ServiceNow Incident and Change Management
· Familiarity with Access Control and SoD analysis
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
· Experience with cloud-based SAP solutions (SAP BTP, SuccessFactors) is a plus
