Overview:We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team as Data Engineers. This is a contract role with the potential for conversion to full-time employment.The ideal candidate will have experience in data engineering, backend development, and cloud-based platforms. They should be proficient in Databricks, distributed data processing frameworks, Python, and SQL. Additionally, they should have strong hands-on experience with experimentation systems, monitoring infrastructure, and large-scale, high-dimensional datasets.Duties and Responsibilities:Built and maintained ETL pipelines for pricing, shipping, and behavioral datasetsCollaborated with data scientists and product managers to support model development and experimentationDeveloped APIs or backend logic to implement dynamic pricing algorithmsCreated internal dashboards or tools with a focus on usability and performanceEnsured data quality, reliability, and documentation across systemsPerformed feature engineering to feed predictive and optimization algorithmsAggregated and transformed high-dimensional datasets at scale to ensure modeling efficiency and robustnessOptimized algorithm performance for real-time and large-scale deploymentRequirements:Flexibility in working with young, startup-like environmentsAble to onboard immediately3+ years of experience in data engineering or backend developmentStrong hands-on experience with Databricks and distributed data processing frameworksStrong Python and SQL expertise; experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, BigQuery, Snowflake)Demonstrated ability to design and develop user-friendly internal tools or interfacesFamiliarity with experimentation systems and monitoring infrastructureExperience handling large-scale, high-dimensional datasets efficientlyExperience with MLOps is preferredDomain experience in e-commerce is preferred; knowledge of the pharmaceutical or scientific supply sector is a strong advantage
