Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and driven “R&D Manager” to lead our Research & Development efforts in the Inks, Paints, and Coatings industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong scientific and technical knowledge of formulated chemical products and have a proven track record in developing and optimizing formulations, especially for emulsions, resins, and additives. This role will require close collaboration with internal teams, active customer engagement, and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Formulation:

  • Develop, optimize, and validate formulations for **emulsions, resins, inks, paints**, and other coatings.
  • Ensure formulations meet industry standards and performance criteria, keeping in mind the constraints related to manufacturing and scale-up processes.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and analysis to ensure the quality and efficacy of products.

2. Scientific & Technical Expertise:

  • Provide deep technical knowledge of industrial chemicals and raw materials used in the Inks, Paints, and Coatings sector.
  • Apply advanced techniques to evaluate the performance, stability, and durability of formulations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements and innovations in the chemical and coatings industry.

3. Project Management:

  • Efficiently plan, execute, and manage R&D projects from inception to commercialization.
  • Interpret data, compile reports, and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sales, and supply chain to ensure seamless product development and delivery.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure that all formulations and processes adhere to industry regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of formulations, experimental protocols, and test results for compliance and knowledge-sharing purposes.

5. Customer Interaction & Technical Support:

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support.
  • Address customer complaints, provide solutions, and attend meetings to present product capabilities and formulations as required.
  • Be open to traveling as needed to support customer engagements, technical presentations, and on-site troubleshooting.

6. Interdepartmental Coordination:

  • Work closely with internal teams such as R&D, Production, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on product development and improvement.
  • Support the Sales team with technical knowledge during customer meetings and product pitches.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ph.D. / B.Tech / M.Tech / MSc in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (Preferably in Adhesives, Chemicals, Inks, Emulsions, Resins, Additives, Pigments).
  • 7-9 years of experience in R&D within the **Adhesive, Chemicals, Inks, Emulsions, Resins, Additives, or Pigments** industries.
  • Strong knowledge of product formulation, industrial chemicals, and techniques for evaluating performance in Inks, Paints, and Coatings.
  • Hands-on experience with the development and optimization of emulsions and paints.
  • Ability to design experiments, analyze results, and apply findings to improve products.
