Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Noida for a Quality Assurance & Production Engineer. The selected candidate will handle quality control processes, implement quality assurance measures, and maintain adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Responsibilities include conducting quality audits, enhancing production processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the manufacturing of world-class products. The role also involves documenting and maintaining compliance with quality management standards. Location: Noida Function: Manufacturing & Operations – QA, NPI, Production Engineering Domains: Aerospace & Defence, Medical Devices, IoT & Embedded Systems About the Role You’ll sit at the intersection of quality, manufacturing, and productization, owning incoming/in-process/final QA, building robust test processes, and driving NPI from proto to pilot to production. If you love turning engineering intent into repeatable, auditable, and scalable build processes, this role is for you. What You’ll Do Quality Assurance Run incoming, in-process, and final inspection (IQC/IPQC/FQC) for electro-mechanical assemblies, PCBs, cables, enclosures, and finished devices. Establish and maintain SOPs, WIs, checklists, control plans, and traceability (DHR/DMR where applicable). Lead first article inspection (FAI) , GR&R/MSA studies, and SPC (control charts, Cp/Cpk). Drive non-conformance handling: NCR logging, root-cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone), 8D/CAPA , and corrective/preventive actions. Conduct process & product audits ; support supplier audits and qualification with Procurement/Engineering. Ensure ESD , 5S , calibration, and safety compliance on the shop floor. Production Engineering Own NPI ramps: build routing, station setup, DFM/DFA reviews, jigs/fixtures/testers, and build validation (EVT/DVT/PVT). Create/maintain BOMs and routers ; coordinate with engineering for ECNs/ECOs ; maintain revision control. Define test plans : electrical (ICT/FCT), functional, burn-in, endurance; manage calibration cycles and golden units. Improve yield, takt time, throughput, and OEE with Lean methods (Kaizen, SMED, Kanban). Coordinate production planning with Operations; ensure materials readiness and line balancing. Liaise with external labs for environmental/reliability testing (e.g., thermal, vibration) and regulatory pre-checks. Must-Haves 2–5 years in QA/Production/Manufacturing engineering for electro-mechanical, electronics, or medical/industrial products. Hands-on with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, pin gauges), electrical test gear (DMM, LCR meter, oscilloscope), and basic debug . Strong grasp of SOPs/WIs , NCR → CAPA → Verification , SPC , FAI , and traceability . Experience setting up assembly & test stations, creating jigs/fixtures , and writing test procedures . Familiar with DFM/DFA , Lean/5S , and ESD practices. Clear communication, structured documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with design, supply chain, and vendors. Good to Have (Big Plus) Exposure to any of: ISO 9001 , ISO 13485 (medical) , AS9100 (aero) , IEC 60601 , IEC 61010 , IEC 62366 , MIL-STD-810 . PCB assembly standards ( IPC-A-610 , J-STD-001), cable harness ( IPC/WHMA-A-620). Experience with ICT/FCT , boundary scan, automated optical inspection ( AOI ), X-ray , environmental chambers. Familiarity with ERP/MES (BOMs, routings, lot/serial traceability), Minitab or similar for stats, and simple Python scripts for test automation/log parsing. Vendor/supplier quality exposure and audit participation . Tools & Stack (Representative) Measurement & Test: DMM, oscilloscope, LCR, hipot, functional testers, AOI/X-ray (where applicable), thermal/vibration chambers. Process & Data: Google Workspace/Excel, ERP/MES, basic SQL/CSV handling; Minitab/SPC; Jira/Confluence or equivalent. Methods: 5S, PFMEA/DFMEA, 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, control plans, GR&R. Education Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Industrial or equivalent. Certifications in Lean/6σ , IPC , or ISO are an advantage.
