Job Title: Motion Graphics & Animation DesignerLocation: Remote (India)Employment Type: Full-timeExperience: 3–5 yearsAbout Code Mantra:Code Mantra is an EdTech start-up shaping the future of how students learn coding, math, robotics, and AI.Our mission is to make learning visually powerful, intuitive, and engaging for 1M+ young learners globally.As part of our creative team, you will bring ideas to life through characters, motion, storytelling, and world-class animation.Who We’re Looking For:A highly creative Motion Graphics & Animation Designer with strong expertise in 2D animation, 3D animation, visual storytelling, and sketching.You can turn static concepts into dynamic, compelling visuals that simplify complex ideas and make learning feel magical.You thrive in fast-paced creative environments, enjoy experimenting with styles, and bring structure and imagination to every project.Experience required:3–5 years of hands-on experience in motion graphics, animation, and multimedia designExperience in EdTech, media, entertainment, gaming, or creative agencies is a plusStrong portfolio of 2D animations, 3D animations, character sketches, explainer videos, and motion graphicsCore Skills (Must-Have):Motion & AnimationStrong skills in 2D animation (characters, scenes, explainer videos, transitions)Experience in 3D animation, modeling, lighting, and renderingProficiency in motion graphics, compositing, VFX, and visual transitionsAbility to animate for Reels, ads, tutorials, educational content, and product videosSoftware ExpertiseAdobe After EffectsAdobe Premiere ProAdobe AnimatePhotoshop & Illustrator (for asset creation + storyboards)Figma/Canva (basic layout support)Illustration & SketchingStrong sketching and drawing skills — characters, objects, environments, storyboardsAbility to create custom illustration assets, icons, characters, scenesUnderstanding of anatomy, expressions, perspective, and movementDesign & StorytellingExcellent understanding of animation principles (timing, squash/stretch, anticipation, etc.)Strong sense of composition, color, lighting, and visual rhythmAbility to translate scripts and concepts into visually engaging animation sequencesNice-to-Have Skills:Basic knowledge of sound syncing and audio-driven animationUI/UX micro-interaction animation or product walkthrough animationsExperience designing content for children or youth-focused learningFamiliarity with EdTech, gamification, or LMS content stylesWhat You’ll Do:Produce high-quality 2D and 3D animations for learning modules, product videos, and brand filmsCreate motion graphics for marketing campaigns, launch videos, ads, and social mediaDevelop and animate characters, storyboards, objects, and educational conceptsConvert complex technical ideas into simple, engaging visual storiesCollaborate with content, product, and marketing teams for smooth visual executionExplore new animation trends, techniques, and technologiesMaintain consistency in visual style across all contentPush creative boundaries and bring freshness to everything you designNot for You If...You prefer only static design or template-based workYou’re not open to feedback, iteration, or rapid creative changesYou rely heavily on stock animations instead of custom motion designYou prefer slow-paced projects with minimal experimentationSend an email to sonamgupta@codemantra.io with: a) Your Portfolio (YouTube/Vimeo/Behance/Drive/Figma link) b) Your Resume (PDF)
