Job Description:As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in the EDP Data Platform team, working on a major Insurance client project. Your main task will be to design and develop the EDP application platform to support clients' internal data teams in onboarding and provisioning data in the cloud.The application will be built using Micro Services Architecture to accommodate different workloads like Data marts, Data warehouse, AI/ML. You will also participate in brainstorming sessions for improvement opportunities and see them through to completion.A suitable candidate should have 4+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level applications and possess a strong drive to deliver results. They should be able to handle ambiguity and have experience in life insurance preferred but not mandatory.Key responsibilities include:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and produce high-quality deliverables with minimal supervisionEffective communication skills for client interactionExperience in designing, implementing, and testing Python applications with object-oriented programming, multi-tier architecture, parallel/multi-threaded programmingProficiency in Python is a must; Java/Scala is a nice-to-haveExperience with AWS technologies including AppSync, Lambda, Step Functions, Event BridgeThe ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science/engineering, operations research, or related analytics areas. They should also have 4+ years of experience in enterprise application development, preferably in Life Insurance but not mandatory.
