Job Title: Underwriting Team LeadThis role involves overseeing a team responsible for underwriting US residential mortgages, requiring expertise in the mortgage industry.The successful candidate will be accountable for supervising workflows, maintaining production reports, and making recommendations for process improvements.Responsibilities include:Supervising associates to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to mortgage underwriting functions.Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.Coordinating department activities with managers to include workflow monitoring, training, reporting, and special projects.Providing resolutions to complex queries and complaints from customers.Leading, coaching, motivating, and developing associates to deliver high-quality reports and achieve operational targets.Requirements:5-7 years of experience in underwriting US residential mortgages.Knowledge of various types of mortgages and their functioning.Ability to analyze origination documents.Strong customer service, negotiation, and leadership skills required.Detail-oriented with analytical skills and decision-making abilities.Experience with reporting and analysis.Good email etiquette.Ability to handle multiple tasks and resolve issues.Experience working in a collaborative environment.Proficiency with MS Office applications.About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in mortgage underwriting and lead a high-performing team.
