Lead Snowflake AdministratorWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Snowflake Administrator to oversee our data platform.Responsibilities include managing and administering the full Snowflake environment, including warehouses, databases, schemas, stages, file formats, and pipes.Account-level settings, parameter configurations, and global policies must be overseen.Key Responsibilities:Manage users, roles, and permissions following best practices for Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).Implement and maintain secure access controls aligned with data governance policies.Additional Responsibilities:Implement Snowflake security features such as masking policies, row-access policies, encryption, OAuth, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).Ensure compliance with industry security standards.Performance Optimization:Monitor query performance; troubleshoot slow-running queries.Optimize virtual warehouse sizes, auto-suspend, and auto-resume settings.Data Pipeline Support:Work closely with data engineers to support Snowpipe configurations, streams & tasks, internal and external stages, Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) or Extract-Load-Transform (ELT) integrations, and ingestion frameworks.Cost Management:Track and optimize compute and storage costs.Maintenance and Monitoring:Daily monitoring of Snowflake logs, warehouse consumption, and system health.Documentation and Process Management:Maintain documentation of platform configurations, standards, and processes.
