Director of Large Language Model OperationsWe seek a seasoned expert in designing, implementing, and scaling large language model operations infrastructure. As a Director of LLM Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our LLM solutions at enterprise scale.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in MLOps and cloud-native architectures, with a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and implement best practices.Infrastructure Design: Develop scalable infrastructure for training, fine-tuning, deployment, and inference of LLMs, leveraging cloud-native architectures and tools such as Kubeflow and MLflow.Operational Excellence: Establish processes for model deployment, monitoring, drift detection, and lifecycle management, ensuring high-quality outputs and optimal resource utilization.Responsible AI: Implement safety guardrails, compliance standards, and bias mitigation frameworks to ensure responsible AI practices are embedded across all LLM operations.Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with data science, research, and product teams to drive alignment and improve end-to-end LLM workflows.Automation & Pipelines: Design and implement automation pipelines for retraining, dataset updates, and version management, reducing manual effort and improving overall efficiency.Optimization: Evaluate tools and frameworks to optimize performance, reduce latency, and minimize costs, ensuring our LLM solutions remain competitive and effective.As a key member of our team, you will:Develop and mentor team members, promoting best practices and influencing stakeholders to adopt scalable LLM operations standards.Conduct thorough evaluations of tools and frameworks to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize our LLM workflow.Deploy and maintain multiple large-scale LLM solutions in production, ensuring robustness, scalability, and reliability.Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure model performance, safety, and business impact, driving data-driven decision making.Drive alignment with stakeholders and promote adoption of best practices across teams, fostering a culture of excellence in LLM operations.RequirementsExpertise in LLM deployment, scaling, and monitoring, with a strong background in MLOps and cloud-native architectures.Proficiency in popular MLOps frameworks (Kubeflow, MLflow, Databricks deployment patterns) and hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures.Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices, with strong knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).Strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional alignment skills, with a proven ability to influence and drive change.Knowledge of LLM safety, bias mitigation, and regulatory compliance, with a commitment to responsible AI practices.Programming proficiency in Python and Bash scripting, with familiarity with vector databases and RAG pipelines.
