Job Title: Oracle DBA EngineerGrade: P3/P4Location: Any LTIMindtree office locationShift Timings: Flexible (24x7 support required)Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days .Key Deliverables (Duties & Responsibilities):- Exadata/ExaCC Patching Lifecycle Management:- Manage and execute patching for Exadata, ExaCC environments including Compute Nodes, DomU VMs, Grid Infrastructure, and Databases.- Infrastructure Maintenance:- Execute Quarterly Maintenance Release (QMR) and Security Monthly Maintenance (SMR) for Exadata infrastructure. Define maintenance windows and create infrastructure maintenance policies.- OCI Patching:- Plan, schedule, and execute OCI patching cycles across ExaCC infrastructure, DomU OS images, and compute OS instances. Apply patches using OCI console, CLI, and REST APIs. Implement rollback and monitoring procedures.- Automation:- Automate patching workflows using Terraform and Ansible for efficient operations.- Oracle RAC Patching:- Perform patching of Oracle RAC, including GRID, RDBMS, and ASM with minimal downtime strategies.- LCM Fleet Operations & OEM:- Integrate and manage patching operations using LCM Fleet with OEM, including gold image creation and deployment for GI and RDBMS.- Data Guard Patching:- Follow best practices for Data Guard-enabled patching procedures.- Patch Management & Planning:- Plan, schedule, and execute quarterly PSU/CPU, third-party, and one-off patches. Ensure minimal downtime during patch deployment.- Impact Assessments & Rollback Strategies:- Conduct patch impact assessments and develop rollback strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve patch-related issues, database failures, and post-patch anomalies. Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with remediation.- Vulnerability Remediation:- Investigate and remediate non-patch-related vulnerabilities as per security and compliance requirements.- Documentation:- Maintain detailed documentation on patching procedures, schedules, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance.Skills & Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Exadata/ExaCC environments and Oracle Database patching.- Experience with Linux OS patching in Exadata/OCI environments.- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC patching, GRID Infrastructure patching.- Strong expertise in OCI patching automation, including OCI CLI/API, OS Image updates, DomU patching, Grid, and Database patching.- Solid understanding of Exadata ExaCC patching and administration.- Knowledge of Quarterly Maintenance Releases (QMR) and Security Monthly Maintenance (SMR) processes.- Experience with backup and rollback strategies for ExaCC infrastructure and database patching.- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex Oracle environments.- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem management).- Excellent documentation and communication skills.- Familiarity with multiple OS environments (especially RHEL).Preferred Qualifications:- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Exadata Management/OCI Architect certification.- Experience with cloud-based databases (especially Oracle Cloud (OCI)).- Experience with LCM Fleet maintenance using OEM.- Patch management for OMS and OEM agents.- Experience in large-scale, high-availability, mission-critical environments.- Strong security awareness in patching and vulnerability compliance.- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and reporting tools (e.g., Qualys, Brinqa).Relationships & Collaboration:- Foster strong partnerships with IT counterparts (India & US teams).- Be available for team connects and meetings as required.- Flexible to adjust work schedule, including evening and weekend shifts based on organizational needs.- Collaborate with business teams when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
