Structural Design ProfessionalThe role of a Structural Design Professional involves designing, analyzing and overseeing the construction of structural elements within food and beverage manufacturing facilities.Design Responsibilities:Develop and review structural components for new facilities, expansions and equipment installations.Perform structural analysis and load calculations for buildings, mezzanines, pipe racks and utility supports.Prepare and validate construction drawings, specifications and BOQs in coordination with civil and architectural teams.Safety and Compliance:Evaluate and ensure compliance with local building codes, food industry standards and safety regulations.Conduct site inspections to monitor construction quality and adherence to design specifications.Collaboration and Support:Collaborate with project managers, equipment vendors and contractors during planning and execution phases.Support feasibility studies, cost estimation and risk assessments for structural scopes.Maintain documentation for audits, approvals and internal governance.Strong understanding of structural design principles, analysis and evaluation methods are essential for success in this position. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical information effectively is also required.
