Job description

As a Project Engineer specializing in Building Management System (BMS) and Internet of Things (IoT) applications using Niagara Software, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of IoT, LMS and BMS projects using Niagara Software. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery and meet specified requirements and objectives.

Key Responsibilities


1. System Integration and Implementation:

Lead the integration of LMS and BMS systems with existing infrastructure.

Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless system implementation.

Conduct system configuration, programming, and testing.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation.

3. Project Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain project documentation, including design specifications, system layouts, and user manuals.

Generate progress reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Document any changes made during the project and update relevant documentation.

4. Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather requirements and address project-related concerns.

Provide regular updates and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.

Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project.

5. System Optimization and Maintenance:

Conduct system optimization to improve energy efficiency, performance, and functionality.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for LMS and BMS systems.

Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for enhancement.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in LMS and BMS.


Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or Diuploma in Instrumentation, Electrical or Related Field

· Optional: Tridium Niagara working knowledge or certification

· Previous experience in project management, preferably in LMS and BMS projects.

· Strong knowledge of Lighting Management Systems (LMS) and Building Management Systems (BMS) concepts, technologies, and standards.

· Proficiency in system design, configuration, and integration.

· Familiarity with programming languages and protocols used in LMS and BMS systems.

· Experience with electrical and lighting systems is desirable.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

· Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
