Senior Backend Developer OpportunityWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Developer to join our team. As a key contributor to our cutting-edge AI-powered CAD software platform, you will design and develop scalable backend systems that power multi-user collaboration, secure data handling, and seamless integration with CAD Core and AI services.About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Python developer to showcase their expertise in building high-performance, cloud-native architectures using FastAPI. As a member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for:Designing and implementing scalable backend services that can handle large datasets and multi-user workloads;Implementing multi-tenant access control mechanisms to ensure project security and enforce fine-grained permissions;Developing service-to-service communication between backend services, CAD Core APIs, AI Engine, and Kafka;Managing file storage and processing pipelines for CAD/3D files, including large binary data handling;Building real-time collaboration features with concurrency handling, versioning, and conflict resolution;Ensuring system reliability and security, including encryption, secure APIs, and compliance with best practices;Developing and maintaining cloud-native deployments on AWS (ECS, S3, RDS, Kafka), with an eye for cloud-agnostic design;Creating CI/CD pipelines for backend microservices using Git, Docker, and Bitbucket Pipelines;Proactively identifying scalability bottlenecks and optimizing database queries, file processing, and distributed systems;RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience;At least 6 years of experience in backend development, with strong expertise in Python (FastAPI);Proven experience in designing scalable systems with microservices and async processing;Strong knowledge of Postgres and familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, etc.);Hands-on experience with cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, and CI/CD automation;Solid understanding of security protocols, encryption techniques, and multi-tenant ACLs;Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent);Excellent debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills;A self-driven approach, with ability to balance speed vs. quality in a fast-evolving environment;Bonus PointsWhile not required, exposure to CAD/3D/geometry systems or AI/ML integration would be a valuable asset in this role.
