Job Title: Resident Software Engineer/Admin-L1(HPE ASE/ATP)Location: Customer Site – Bangalore, IndiaEmployment Type: Full-Time, On-SiteReporting To: Project Manager / Service Delivery ManagerPosition OverviewThe Resident Software Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, system monitoring, and first-level (L1) administration at the customer’s location. This role involves ensuring smooth operations of servers and applications, proactive performance monitoring, and close coordination with the HPE support team for issue resolution and firmware management.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform L1 administration tasks for servers, applications, and related infrastructure.Monitor application and server health continuously to ensure optimal system performance.Identify and resolve alerts generated by monitoring tools for both application and server environments.Troubleshoot application server–related issues and escalate or raise support tickets with HPE as required.Coordinate with vendor teams (HPE and others) for advanced technical support and issue resolution.Execute assigned operational and maintenance tasks within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Participate in infrastructure and application-related projects, upgrades, and improvement initiatives as assigned.Assist in firmware upgrades of servers and other hardware components in collaboration with HPE teams.Proactively monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and take corrective actions.Prepare and maintain status reports, incident logs, and performance summaries for periodic review.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience: 2–4 years of experience in server/application administration or a similar technical support role.Technical Skills:Knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration.Familiarity with HPE server infrastructure and management tools (preferred).Basic understanding of networking and system monitoring tools.Experience with incident and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.Certifications (Preferred): HPE ASE/ATP certifications, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent.Key AttributesCustomer-focused mindset with the ability to work independently on-site.Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting SLAs.Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before escalation.Team player with excellent coordination and reporting skills.Work EnvironmentOn-site position at customer premises in Bangalore.May require rotational shifts or weekend support based on operational needs.
