We're aiming to be the leading resale platform.As a seasoned backend developer, you'll help us ship fast, test bold ideas, and join our world-class engineering team.Key responsibilities include:Designing and developing production-ready Java 21 microservices using Spring Boot 3.x for high-performance and scalable application functionality.Engineering efficient and secure data models and CRUD operations utilizing Google Cloud Firestore as the primary NoSQL data store.Implementing complex integrations focusing on Firebase Admin SDK for authentication/security and the Stripe Java SDK for critical flows like identity verification and secure webhook processing.Designing, implementing, and optimizing robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs to support all features of the mobile application.Writing comprehensive unit and integration tests and maintaining code quality standards enforced via CI pipelines.Ensuring all API endpoints are secured using custom Firebase ID token filters, enforcing Token UID matches, and handling sensitive data/webhook signatures securely.Must-have qualifications include:4+ years of experience in backend expertise with strong proficiency in Java 21 and extensive experience developing robust APIs with Spring Boot 3.x and the Spring ecosystem.Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Firestore or other NoSQL databases, including indexing and query optimization.Proven ability to integrate and secure external services, particularly Firebase Authentication and/or complex payment/identity platforms.Proficient with unit and integration testing frameworks and familiarity with continuous integration tools.Strong grasp of software design patterns, RESTful API design, and adhering to strict code style and quality standards.
