Security Technical Program Manager Job Description:

The Security Program Manager, reporting to the Head of Security, will play a key role in establishing and maintaining security programs, coordinating with security leadership to establish annual roadmaps and resource planning, and evidence the efficacy of security controls to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of assets, information, and resources. You will lead by example and train others in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of cyber security programs and initiatives. This role will help lead the team located in India that will support security operations for the Security team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

# Support the processes for defining strategy, technical roadmaps, milestones, success criteria, and resource and budget allocation with the Head of Information Security.

# Establish program management governance across key Security programs delivering structured program management processes, program maturity roadmaps, technical solution decision procedures, tracking, documentation, and reporting.

# Implement industry best practices in program assessment methodology (such as KPIs, metrics) and technical mechanisms (such as dashboards) to communicate Security team, program, and initiatives status and progress to Security leadership, executive leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders for awareness, escalation and decision making.

# Drive annual external assessments of the security program and related controls.

# Develop and execute methods, and work with internal stakeholders, to identify, assess, measure, treat, monitor, and report on internal and external technical security issues.

# Work with cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical stakeholders to interpret, communicate, and drive full lifecycle security programs.

# Build out Guardants Customer Trust program at scale.

# Work with legal, procurement, and other teams to ensure security requirements are included in contracts and service agreements.


Qualifications:

# 5+ years experience in Cybersecurity roles..

# 3+ years industry experience in leading sophisticated business process operations/process improvement programs, preferably in cybersecurity or IT compliance domain

# Domain expertise in any/all of the following: vulnerability management, third party risk management, human risk management, threat management, incident response, risk management

# Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex security issues to a diverse audience..

# Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks (e.g., SCF, ISO 27001, NIST), and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)

# Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

# Ability to build relationships across Guardant with a foundation of trust and accountability; and influence and engage these audiences with authority and confidence.

# Proven experience in developing and executing a multi-year roadmap to comply with regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR

# Experience with Atlassian (jira,confluence) products required; experiencing administering jira boards and confluence spaces preferred.

# Experience in Healthcare and Life Science industries preferred but not required

# Industry security certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent are - welcomed but not required
