Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in managing, maintaining, and optimizing diverse database technologies across cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, a solid understanding of database architecture and performance tuning, and a proactive approach to ensuring data reliability, security, and scalability.Key Responsibilities:Database Management: Deploy, configure, maintain, and optimize databases — both relational and non-relational — across major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).Migration Expertise: Lead or support cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution of on-premises databases to cloud environments.Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain database security policies, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).Collaboration: Work closely with application development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal database performance.Automation: Design and develop scripts or automation workflows to streamline database administration, backup, and monitoring tasks.Monitoring & Reporting: Utilize tools such as Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus to monitor database performance and generate health reports.Required Skills and Qualifications:The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:Relational Databases: Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).Optional Skills: Working knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB) is a plus.Cloud Platforms: Experience managing and optimizing databases on Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting for automation and process improvement.Monitoring Tools: Experience with Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, or Prometheus for performance monitoring and alerting.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Minimum 5+ years of experience in Database Administration, including at least 2 years working in cloud environments.Experience with database backup, recovery, and replication strategies.Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is an advantage.Benefits:This position offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
