Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.Build and Execute Category strategiesWork with direct and cross-functional teams to plan strategic sourcing direction for category.Recommend targets for spend reduction, sourcing efficiency, supplier management and supply base optimizationDefine and deliver category cost savings and scorecard metric targets, monitor and report out progress to targetsMonitor and adjust category compliance (e.g. risk, spend, quality, supplier segmentation, management)Monitor the implementation of category and sourcing strategies and contract compliance and participate in the resolution of any constraints or issuesCommunicate sourcing trends and results for FE categories to the leadership teamMaintain supplier segmentation map for category, and build partnerships with suppliersLead strategic programs to improve and/or optimize spares-related operational activities and processes.Manage Supplier Relationship GloballyAct as primary point of contact for assigned Tier-2/Tier-3 suppliersDrive negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost reductionsPerform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliersMaintain collaborative relationships with supplier(s) while effectively resolving supplier performance/capability issues to ensure alignment with Micron's strategic directionEnsure suppliers comply with Micron's business ethics, code-of-conduct programs, and corporate safety policies and social responsibility initiativesCommunicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization including Executive LeadershipEnlist senior management, when appropriate, to help reinforce commitment and involvement from suppliersProvide the voice of the supply base to Micron and provide the voice of Micron to the supply baseLead in organizing and delivering on strategic supplier events, such as Annual Supplier Evaluations or Business ReviewsCollaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic SolutionsLead Spares-related strategic programs and initiativesInitiate and sustain effective communication with stakeholders, partners and suppliersCommunicate strategic sourcing goals, category management plans, initiatives, and targetsDrive proactive approach with Stakeholders when solving issues and representing Procurement.Escalate issues, offering options and recommendation for resolutionManage conflict and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersProvide advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions related to the categoryImplement processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction for key suppliersAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
