Summary

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in competitive programming with a focus on problem-solving, algorithms, and data structures having achieved top-tier rankings and demonstrated excellence in coding competitions and hackathons. The role involves training students, preparing them for coding competitions like Codeforces, CodeChef, LeetCode, and other global challenges. You will help students enhance their competitive programming skills and guide them through the preparation process for hackathons, coding contests, and other international coding competitions.

Qualifications

- Must be a top performer, holding a 3* or 4* rating on CodeChef or equivalent on platforms such as Codeforces, LeetCode, etc.
- Strong understanding of various algorithms (sorting, searching, graph theory, dynamic programming, etc.).
- Applicants should have participated in and/or won or placed highly in renowned hackathons or coding challenges.
- BTech/BCA/MTech/MCA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong desire to train and develop students in competitive programming and coding contests.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in platforms like Codeforces, CodeChef, LeetCode, Top Coder, and others.
- Proficiency in languages such as C++, Python, Java, etc., used in competitive coding.
- Proven success in winning or placing highly in coding contests or hackathons at the national or international level.
- Experience in guiding teams for ICPC or similar large-scale competitions.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach students advanced problem-solving techniques, algorithms, and data structures.
- Mentor and guide students in improving their performance in coding contests.
- Design assignments, mock contests, and coding challenges that simulate actual competitive programming environments.
- Prepare students for participating in local, national, and international coding contests (e.g., ICPC, Google Kickstart, CodeChef, Codeforces).
- Host internal coding competitions and ensure students are equipped with the necessary skills to achieve top rankings.
- Actively support students in preparing for and participating in major hackathons and coding challenges.
- Share insights and strategies on winning hackathons, including problem selection, team collaboration, and time management.
- Mentor students on developing innovative and real-world solutions that align with hackathon themes.
- Provide one-on-one guidance to students, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement.
- Offer personalized feedback on coding approaches and problem-solving strategies.
- Supervise student teams participating in coding challenges and provide them with practical, hands-on experience.
- Work closely with faculty to integrate competitive coding into the academic curriculum.
- Collaborate with the institutions coding club to promote coding culture on campus.
- Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge coding practices and contribute to research in algorithms and optimization techniques.
