Title: Mainframe System ProgrammerLocation: Chennai,Bangalore,Hyderabad,Cochin,Indore,Kolkata,Delhi,Noida,Mumbai,PuneDesired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency).5 years of Experience IBM z/OS expertise – installation, customization, and system administration. · CICS system programming – installation, region setup, tuning, troubleshooting. ·Job Control Language (JCL) – strong command for batch processing and automation.· SMP/E (System Modification Program/Extended) – applying maintenance, fixes, and upgrades. · RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) – security administration and compliance.· JES2/JES3 – spool and job management expertise ·.TSO/ISPF utilities – proficient in day-to-day system operations ·.System performance monitoring and tuning – RMF, SMF, OMEGAMON or equivalent tools · .Problem determination and dump analysis – ability to analyze abends and resolve system issues · .REXX/CLIST scripting – automation of routine administration tasks ·.Mainframe storage management – DFSMS, VSAM, HSM basicsGood-to-Have:DB2, IMS, MQ – exposure to installation, integration, or tuning of database and messaging subsystems ·Cross-platform knowledge – familiarity with Linux/Windows systems or cloud integration with mainframes ·Automation/orchestration tools – CA OPS/MVS, BMC, Tivoli, or equivalent ·Change management tools – Endevor, Changeman, or similar version control utilities ·Disaster recovery & high availability – GDPS, backup/restore methodologies, DR drill execution · Networking skills – z/OS Communications Server, TCP/IP, VTAM advanced configurationAID, Omegamon advanced usage ·Scripting beyond REXX/CLIST – familiarity with Python or modern automation frameworks (where mainframe modernization is in scope) ·ITIL or service management knowledge – incident, change, and problem management best practices ·Capacity planning and workload automation – CA-7, Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), or equivalent ·Basic understanding of DevOps on mainframe – exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git integration, or z/OSMF
