Its commitment to customer-centric approaches has resulted in a loyal and growing client base.Job Description: General Manager - AccountingJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced General Manager - Accounting to lead our accounting team and oversee all financial aspects of our real estate consultancy firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, taxation, and financial management, with experience in handling complex financial transactions and leading a team of accountants.Key Responsibilities (KRA):Financial Management- Oversee all accounting and financial functions, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement- Manage and analyze financial data to inform business decisions- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costsTaxation and Compliance- Oversee GST compliance, including registration, returns, and payments- Coordinate with tax authorities and handle tax audits and assessments- Ensure timely filing of income tax returns (ITR) and other statutory returns- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilitiesAudit and Internal Controls- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with auditing standards- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data- Review and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsSales Directors' Accounts- Manage and reconcile sales directors' accounts, including PNL statements- Ensure accurate and timely billing and collection of receivables- Analyze and report on sales performance and provide insights to managementTeam Management- Lead and manage a team of accountants and financial staff- Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure professional development- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team membersOther Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Companies Act and Income Tax Act- Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions- Identify and mitigate financial risks- Participate in strategic planning and business development initiativesGoals:- Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance- Improve financial performance and reduce costs- Enhance internal controls and audit processes- Develop and retain a high-performing accounting team- Support business growth and expansion through financial planning and analysisRequirements:- CA or equivalent qualification- 10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role- Experience in real estate or related industry preferred- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements- Excellent leadership and communication skills- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applicationsSkills:- Financial analysis and planning- Taxation and compliance- Audit and internal controls- Leadership and team management- Communication and interpersonal skills- Analytical and problem-solving skills
