Software Engineering Leadership RoleAbout the TeamThe Tax Payment team powers tax remittance of $30 billion+ to 5000+ tax agencies worldwide.We ensure timely and accurate tax payments across 40+ countries, minimizing manual intervention while maintaining strict compliance and audit requirements.Key Responsibilities:Lead Architecture and Development: Design and evolve the core tax remittance product with reliability and correctness as first principles.Own Tax Remittance Pipelines: Architect and build end-to-end pipelines for full lifecycle of tax payments, ensuring timely, accurate, auditable, and compliant results.Scale Distributed Payment Systems: Develop and optimize distributed systems for high-throughput, multi-currency tax remittances at global scale.Drive Technical Excellence: Set the bar for reliability, observability, security, and regulatory/audit readiness in mission-critical domains.Cross-Team & External Collaboration: Partner with Payroll, Banking, Finance Ops, Compliance, and external payment partners/tax agencies to define roadmaps and unlock new geographies and products.Mentor and Influence: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the org, influencing architecture, design reviews, and operational practices.Requirements:Demonstrated expertise in software engineering and technical leadership.Proven ability to design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure software systems.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners.Benefits:Opportunity to work on a high-growth, mission-critical project.Chance to make a meaningful impact on the organization's success.Collaborative and dynamic work environment.
