Highly Skilled Oracle Database Specialist

Oracle Database Administrator PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting of Oracle databases.You will work with various versions of Oracle databases and ensure their high availability, security, and compliance. Your expertise in automation, security, and compliance will be invaluable in this role.The ideal candidate will have at least 10-15 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation and configuration of Oracle databasesPerformance tuning and optimizationBackup and recovery using RMAN and Oracle Recovery Manager strategiesTroubleshooting and resolving database issuesManaging database migrations (on-prem to cloud/version upgrades)Required SkillsProficient in RMAN backup and recovery strategiesStrong knowledge of Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recoveryHands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimizationExperience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and managementExperience with patching, upgrades, and database cloningSolid understanding of Unix/Linux system administration related to OracleProficiency in writing complex PL/SQL scripts and shell scripting for automationExperience in handling large-scale database environments (multi-TB)Good communication skills with both technical and management teamsPreferred SkillsExposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Autonomous DatabasesExperience with GoldenGate or other replication toolsKnowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL and Mongo DB administrationExperience in database security auditing and complianceFamiliarity with Ansible, Terraform, or other IaC tools for database deployment automationExposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) in relation to databasesOracle certifications (e.g., OCP, OCM) are a strong plusFamiliarity with ITIL processes and change management procedures
