Cloud Network Architect PositionThis role is for an experienced Cloud Network Architect who can design, develop and implement Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, consulting and infrastructure design. They will be responsible for creating and implementing OCI solutions that meet customer needs, as well as providing architectural oversight and support for new implementations, upgrades and migrations.Responsibilities:Design and develop OCI solutions to meet customer requirements.Implement common infrastructure tasks and customer requests using Python, shell scripting or other cloud tooling.Develop reusable intellectual property (IP) for the Cloud Engineering Delivery organization to help drive delivery efficiency and customer value.Provide architectural oversight and support for new implementations, upgrades and migrations on/to Oracle cloud infrastructure.Collaborate with infrastructure teams, application development teams, testing and release teams.Mentor junior IaaS resources to expand the team's capacity and establish consistency among delivery consultants.Identify and quickly escalate potential issues with solution design, packaged software, client resources or anything else that impacts the ability to deliver according to expectations.Accountabilities:Be a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex cloud infrastructure and networking challenges.Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.Required Skills and Qualifications:10+ years of work experience in any combination of engineering and consulting with any hyperscaler, with increasing responsibilities and a special focus on network design and implementation along with infrastructure design and automation.Hands-on skills with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or solutions from other providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure etc.Ability to create, update and understand architecture diagrams based on end-user specs and implement the same.Experience with physical networking, understanding routing (expertise on BGP), firewalls, WAF, network accelerators, CDN, load balancers and SSL certificates.Experience in deploying firewalls, load balancers and routers as a virtual appliance in cloud infrastructure.In-depth knowledge of various cloud and on-premise networking components including connectivity between clouds/on-prem to cloud.Good understanding of IaaS compute and operating systems, and compute migration methodologies and implementation techniques.Hands-on working knowledge of Terraform/Ansible and Python.Team player with strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills.Desired Skills:Experience in designing and implementing complex hybrid architectures that span across on-prem and cloud (including multi-cloud).Experience in integrating clouds with third-party tools such as Splunk, QRadar, Sumo Logic, Datadog, Grafana etc. for log analytics/flow logs and other services.Experience migrating workloads from on-premises into cloud, or between clouds.Strong knowledge of networking that includes cloud network design and multi-cloud network design.Implementation of VPN, enterprise network equipment routers, firewalls and switches.Analysis of cloud strategies, design and development of tools for Oracle products deployment in OCI.Proven ability in performing rapid assessments of clients' internal technology landscape and targeting use cases and deployments for Oracle Cloud technology.
