Data Systems EngineerThis is a high-impact role in our data organization where you will build and maintain large-scale data systems.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, experience with data connectors, metadata, and API integration, as well as proficiency in Python and knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, and NoSQL databases.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement data pipelines using Python and various data connectors.Maintain and optimize existing data systems to ensure high performance and scalability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design data solutions that meet those needs.Requirements:Technical Skills:Proficiency in Python and experience with data connectors, metadata, and API integration.Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, and NoSQL databases.Experience with database systems, including BI tools and data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Tableau.Familiarity with performance optimization, testing rigor, scale awareness, software design patterns, problem-solving, quality, systematic debugging, security-consciousness, and autonomous systems thinking.Bonus Qualifications:Additional languages: Java, Rust, or Go experience (Python still required).Data platform familiarity: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).Open source contributions: DataHub, dbt, Airflow, or similar data tools.As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data systems that support our business growth.
