Job Brief


Acufore is seeking a MEP Design Engineer with Electrical Revit capabilities, to work in a balanced environment of fast-growing company with established clienteles.

Job Description


- Create electrical one-line diagrams, power plan and grounding layouts, and electrical assembly drawings. Experience in routing cable tray and raceway for medium voltage and low voltage electrical systems with an understanding of NEC and ANSI/NEMA codes pertaining to cable sizing and raceway fill. Experience in design involving major electrical equipment including switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, panel boards and lighting systems. Proficiency in designing in the 3D Revit environment

- Work closely with sales and marketing teams by providing necessary project scopes, descriptions and assess the effort estimation for prospective Electrical Design Projects. Lead the client meetings as needed to represent the MEP team.

- Coordinate with the client’s construction or Design teams to ensure that the MEP Design is in line with the intent, coordinated and is up to date with project progress. Based on the client feedback, take up necessary modifications and updation as needed.

- Take up internal training to on board the new team members with the Acufore’s BIM Setup & Standardization for Revit & Autodesk Cloud (BIM 360), best practices and the latest software updates. Follow and stay up to date with the latest developments in BIM Standards, BIM Technologies and BIM Processes. Curate, update and maintain the Acufore’s BIM library for the MEPF components for upcoming projects.

- Serve as a primary contact for client/customers for all communication including, validating/signing-off project scope, maintaining project records for change-orders/scope additions and finally signoff the final deliverable. Curate the lessons learned and other best practices from the complete projects to conduct post project analysis and take up necessary internal upskilling as needed.

- Perform quality control checks on the MEP Design and BIM Modelling to ensure alignment with project’s design scope and BIM requirements.


Academic & trades qualifications


UG- B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Engineering - Electrical


Work experience & skills


6-8 years of BIM working experience using Autodesk Revit & Navisworks with a strong portfolio of work. Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360) and knowledge of industry standard BIM Workflows. Working knowledge of Electrical CAD & Drawing Standards for MEP Drawing in both 2D and 3D and understanding of NEC and ANSI/NEMA codes pertaining to cable sizing and raceway fill. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
