As an experienced Oracle Functional Finance Consultant in Oracle ERP (Fusion or EBS) you will be responsible for leading and supporting financial process optimization, system configuration, and end-user enablement. The ideal candidate will have expertise across core finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Credit Management, Tax) for all O2C, R2R and P2P business processes with a solid understanding of accounting principles.Responsibilities and Job DutiesCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze finance process requirementConfigure and maintain Oracle Financial modules including:General Ledger (GL) – Ledgers, Chart of Accounts, Allocations, Journals, Accounts Payable (AP) – Invoice processing, Payments, Accruals Accounts Receivable (AR) – Customer billing, Receipts, Adjustments, BPA, Fixed Assets (FA) – Asset additions, Depreciation, Retirements, Cash Management (CM) – Bank reconciliations, Cash forecasting, Tax Management – Fusion Tax, Vertex, Avalara integrationMap business processes for P2P, O2C, and R2R cycles to Oracle functionalitiesDevelop functional specification documents (MD050), BRDs, and configuration workbooksLead Data Conversions, Mappings, FUT and own all the Finance related objects for (opening balances, AP/AR transactions, assets)Coordinate with technical teams on integrations (OIC, BI Publisher, OTBI, Smart View)Conduct system testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues; manage Oracle SRs for defect resolutionProvide end-user training and create process documentationSupport month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close activitiesDevelop and execute test plans to ensure quality deliverablesDecent understanding of Revenue Accounting principles ASC 606 and ASC 842Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issuesManage Oracle SRs for defect resolution with quick turnaroundsProvide end-user training and create user guides / process documentationDesign and implement approval workflows for finance transactionsAssist in financial reporting setup (FRS, OTBI dashboards, BI Publisher reports)Advise on system best practices to optimize financial processes and reduce manual effortPerform impact analysis for new releases, patches, and enhancementsParticipate in project planning including estimations, timelines, and deliverables trackingEnsure SOX compliance and other regulatory standards in system setupAssist in change management activities, including communications and training rolloutContribute to continuous improvement initiatives for financial systemsQualifications7+ years of experience as an Oracle Functional Finance Consultant (Fusion or EBS)Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP / IFRS)Hands-on experience configuring GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Credit Management and Tax modulesExperience with financial reporting tools (FRS, OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View)Understanding of financial integrations with third-party systemsExcellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skillsTeam Player working with all internal and external stakeholders including vendor partnersStrong communication skills to interact with stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsOracle Financials Cloud CertificationExperience working for Leasing, Retail and related IndustriesExposure to Revenue Recognition principles, integrations with 3rd parties and related reconciliationsCPA, CMA, or ACCA certification
