Job OverviewThe role of an Offshore HVAC Specialist is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on offshore vessels.Perform thorough heat load calculations to determine the required capacity of HVAC systems.Conduct a detailed review of P&IDs, engineering documents, and vendor data for HVAC packages to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.Monitor the installation, testing, commissioning, and performance of HVAC systems to identify any issues or areas for improvement.Troubleshoot operational problems with HVAC systems and provide support to maintenance teams as needed.Ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems with fire & gas systems and pressurization systems to maintain a safe working environment.Oversee architectural planning for Living Quarters, including space layout, routing, and functional arrangements to optimize efficiency and comfort.Review architectural drawings to ensure compliance with SOLAS, IMO, DNV/ABS standards, and make recommendations for improvements where necessary.Supervise the installation of joinery works, insulation, wall panels, furniture, and interior fit-out to ensure high-quality finishes and meet offshore fire rating requirements.Verify that all materials meet offshore fire rating requirements (A60, B15 standards) and ensure that ergonomics, safety, hygiene, and comfort requirements are met for LQ occupants.
