You will blend SDET expertise with DevOps/SRE practices to automate testing, orchestrate deployments, and maintain production systems - from planning and coordination to deployment and support - ensuring every release is robust and minimally disruptive. You will collaborate closely with our Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to guarantee release readiness and high-quality delivery with a heavy focus on automation, reliability, and quality assurance.Required Qualifications9+ years of professional experience as an SRE, Release Engineer, or equivalent role2+ years of professional experience as a lead engineer/developerStrong background in quality engineering with an SDET mindset and familiarity with testing methodologiesDemonstrable working knowledge and experience with PythonExperience designing, building, maintaining, and improving Python-based automation and testing frameworks (e.g. PyTest)Experience preparing, reviewing and executing deployment plans, runbooks, MOPs and rollback procedures for complex production environmentsHands-on experience with multiple cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (e.g. vSphere)Proficiency across multiple operating systems and platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS; Intel, ARM)Experience leading an Agile/Scrum teamExperience owning or orchestrating large-scale or enterprise software releasesExpertise in release automation and orchestration frameworks/toolsExperience with SQL or other data query/visualization toolingExperience with CI/CD tooling and best practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)Experience with code quality tooling and best practices (e.g. SonarQube)Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC; e.g. Ansible, Terraform) and configuration management toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience debugging and deciphering network and/or endpoint device logsExperience deploying agent-based softwarePrevious experience on or adjacent to a team of SDETsExperience with monitoring, observability, and alerting platforms (e.g. Grafana/Prometheus)About the RoleYou'll be working as a Staff Engineer on our Endpoint Security - Production Engineering team, responsible for ensuring quality through automation, executing deployments, and maintaining the reliability of Arctic Wolf's endpoint software across multiple platforms and cloud environments.Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will be:Act as the technical lead of the team, focused on designing, architecting, and overseeing all the team's projectsPlan, coordinate, and execute software releases across customer environments and geographiesDesign and implement automated testing, deployment, and rollback strategiesBuild and maintain quality gates and validation frameworks to ensure release readinessCollaborate with software developers, QA, customer support, and product teams to ensure high-quality deliveryTroubleshoot and resolve deployment issues across diverse platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS; Intel, ARM) and assist with root cause analysisManage and optimize infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and vSphere environmentsBuild runbooks and documentation for internal teams and end usersEnsure compliance with security and regulatory requirements during deploymentsContribute to continuous improvement of team processes, leveraging automation to ensure efficiency, reliability, and qualityEvaluate and implement new relevant technologies and toolsMentor junior engineersAssist and contribute to intra/inter-team planningWe value a culture of sharing, so every team has the opportunity to share their work with the entire department during our monthly meetings.
