About the Business Unit


The Languages business encompasses all non-English or Indic Brands within the Times Internet portfolio, featuring a presence in eight regional languages across India, including Navbharat Times in Hindi, Maharashtra Times in Marathi, Vijay Karnataka in Kannada, Samayam in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, and I am Gujarat.

Our Languages division stands as the fastest-growing regional content platform in India. We have an audience base of 180 million users, with approximately one in every four Indians engaging with Times Internet Languages Platforms. We are the leading news and information player in the Indic Languages category on Comscore. We have maintained this dominance for several years now.

Diversity is at the heart of our community. Our audience is predominantly young, primarily below the age of 34, and has a strong female presence. We have a strong presence on social platforms. We have a subscriber base of 32Mn+ across all languages Facebook and YouTube.

We've recently expanded our portfolio with new brands. About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced YouTube SEO Specialist who focuses on improving Video views & Visibility, optimizing YouTube’s search algorithm, and increasing channel growth and increasing Revenue. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEO best practices, Video trends, and the ability to drive organic traffic to YouTube videos.



Work Responsibilities

  • Keyword Research: Identify relevant keywords for video titles, descriptions, and tags based on trends, competition analysis, and channel goals.
  • Content Optimization: Implement best practices for video SEO, optimizing video titles, tags, and descriptions for search engines.
  • SEO Strategy Development: Design and execute strategies for increasing organic reach and visibility across YouTube’s search and recommendation algorithms.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor video performance using YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, and other SEO tools to assess effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Metadata Optimization: Ensure each video’s metadata (tags, captions, annotations) is optimized for search.
  • A/B Testing: Perform A/B testing on video elements (titles, thumbnails) to determine which combinations drive more clicks and engagement.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated with YouTube SEO trends, algorithm changes, and competitor strategies to keep the channel ahead.
  • Revenue Generation
  • Collaboration: Work with video editors, content creators, and marketing teams to align SEO strategies with broader content goals.
  • Audience Growth and Engagement: Increase organic followers by optimizing video content for user retention, driving subscriptions


Skills, Experience & Expertise

  • Strong understanding of YouTube’s ranking factors and algorithm updates.
  • Proficiency in YouTube Studio, Google Analytics or other SEO tools.
  • Familiarity with on-page SEO, backlink strategies, and social media optimization.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic knowledge of video production and editing (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Passion for staying up-to-date on digital marketing and SEO trends.



Eligibility

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a related field of work
  • Graduate from any institute
  • Media background will serve as a major advantage
