Join us and take us to the next levelAbout the Business UnitThe Languages business encompasses all non-English or Indic Brands within the Times Internet portfolio, featuring a presence in eight regional languages across India, including Navbharat Times in Hindi, Maharashtra Times in Marathi, Vijay Karnataka in Kannada, Samayam in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, and I am Gujarat.Our Languages division stands as the fastest-growing regional content platform in India. We have an audience base of 180 million users, with approximately one in every four Indians engaging with Times Internet Languages Platforms. We are the leading news and information player in the Indic Languages category on Comscore. We have maintained this dominance for several years now.Diversity is at the heart of our community. Additionally, we launched TimesXP, a video-first platform for Indic languages, with a vision to democratize internet access for unlettered audiences.About the RoleWe are looking for a Social Media Executive with 6-7 years of experience who is proficient in Kannada and English and has a deep understanding of social media growth strategies. The ideal candidate should know how to manage and grow social media handles, create engaging content, analyze performance metrics, and have basic knowledge of video editing and graphic design.Work Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to grow brand presence and engagement across platforms (Facebook, Instagram,Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).Create and schedule engaging content, including posts, reels, stories, and videos in Hindi and English.Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools and optimize content accordingly.Engage with the audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.Collaborate with the design and video teams to create visually appealing graphics, reels, and short-form videos.Stay updated with social media trends, algorithms, and best practices to maximize reach and engagement.Run and manage paid social media campaigns to increase visibility and audience growth.Assist in basic video editing and graphic creation using tools like Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Photoshop.Coordinate with influencers, brand partners, and internal teams for collaborations and promotions.Skills, Experience & Expertise:6-7 years of experience in social media management and growth strategies.Proficiency in Kannada and English(written and verbal).Strong understanding of social media algorithms, content trends, and engagement strategies.Basic knowledge of video editing and graphic design (Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.).Experience in managing brand pages, social media campaigns, and audience engagement.Familiarity with social media analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, etc.).Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Eligibility:A degree in Marketing, Communication, Digital Media, or a related field.Experience in handling influencer collaborations and paid ad campaigns.Knowledge of SEO and content marketing for social media growth.
