Real-time Communications Backend Developer OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to build resilient back-end services that power real-time communications analytics and automation at scale.About the RoleDesign, develop and ship scalable backend APIs and background/async jobs for real-time data processing and integration with cloud services.Owning observability, tracing, and SLOs (p95/p99) for low-latency, high-reliability experiences.Troubleshooting SIP/VoIP issues using packet captures and logs; automating analysis where possible.Collaboration on containerization with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment across Azure and AWS.Applying distributed-systems patterns for scale and fault tolerance.Modeling data in PostgreSQL and MongoDB; tuning indexes/queries; maintaining migration discipline.Requirements and QualificationsProficiency in Python & Django: RESTful APIs, authentication/authorization, background tasks, testing, and performance tuning.Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/2; practical debugging with Wireshark.Familiarity with the telephony domain: SIP signaling, RTP/RTCP, call flows, PSTN/VoIP basics.Cloud & DevOps expertise: Working knowledge of Azure/AWS, Docker; Kubernetes exposure is a plus.Distributed systems understanding: Microservices, event-driven design (queues/streams), horizontal scaling, resilience patterns.Hands-on experience with databases: PostgreSQL and MongoDB (schema design, indexing, migrations, backups/restore).Bonus PointsKubernetes (Helm), IaC (Terraform/Bicep), metrics/log stacks (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK), OpenTelemetry.Experience with Microsoft Graph/365 ecosystems, webhooks, or real-time comms SDKs.Practical AI/ML skills: time-series anomaly detection, clustering, or LLM-powered workflows.
