Job Title:Data Platform Engineer - Cloud ServicesAbout the Role:We seek an experienced Data Platform Engineer to oversee the implementation and maintenance of Databricks services on cloud platforms. This role requires a strong passion for agile environments and expertise in supporting data platforms.Responsibilities:Platform Administration: Implement, maintain, and configure Databricks workspaces, user management, access control, and security settings.Operational Support: Provide technical assistance to data engineering, science, and application teams. Perform restores, troubleshoot service issues, and resolve platform-related problems.Cluster Management: Install, configure, and maintain Databricks clusters and workspaces. Monitor performance, resource utilization, and platform costs.Security and Compliance: Implement access controls and security policies to safeguard sensitive data. Ensure compliance with relevant data governance and regulatory requirements.Integration: Manage connections between Databricks and other data sources like Snowflake. Optimize data pipelines and workflows.Automation: Develop automation scripts and tools using Terraform for platform provisioning and routine tasks.Required Skills and Qualifications:3+ years of production support experience for the Databricks platform.Terraform, AWS/Azure/GCP services, Databricks administration.AWS IAM, VPC, private endpoints, firewalls, S3, and knowledge on Databricks integrations.MLflow, Workflows, Databricks Asset Bundles.Databricks REST API, dbx CLI, and Delta Live Tables.SQL and PySpark skills for debugging and support.Benefits:This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Platform Engineer and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
