Senior Technical Consultant

The Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join ION as a Senior Technical Consultant. As a Senior Technical consultant, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing the customer requirements while mentoring other team members. You will work with business analysts, clients, and team members to design and implement product extensions, configurations, and interfaces. You will also be responsible for reviewing infrastructure sizing, deploying, testing, tuning, and implementing the system and working in a team environment. Key Responsibilities:Assume hands-on project implementation duties in all phases of the implementation (design, build, test, deploy) engagement.Provide technology advice, design, analysis, custom code development, and troubleshooting in the discovery workshop, design, configuration, testing, and production support of the ION solution for the client's business needsParticipate and support the architectural design decisions regarding interfaces between ION solution and other systems, as well as the technical approach for custom scripts and reports, and gain the client's confidence in the recommended approachSupport and adhere to implementation best practices Gather and document technical requirements, code specifications and any other deliverables required by the project Support client training services in custom development technologiesAttend Product trainings to gain knowledge of the system's functionality, architecture, and technical componentsPresent the project's technical solution to client representativesSupport client training servicesConsult with client's technology users to determine technical and systems requirements to be addressed by the ION solutionFollow project delivery methodology standardsTrack deliverables to estimates and deliver on timeLead a small to medium scale implementation project  Follow documentation standards and resolution process flow for all deliverablesKeep Line Manager and engagement owner(s) informed regarding the status of assigned responsibilitiesParticipate in Upgrade Implementation Analysis and provide detailed solutioning in the Requirements Traceability Matrix and Technical Upgrade document as well as accurate estimatesMaintain full chargeability on client account(s) as assignedTravel to customer site to work on projects as needed Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a directly related IT field 8+ years' industry experience in Software Design and Development or deployment of enterprise software in client environmentsMinimum 7-years direct experience working with Aspect or similar TRM in designing, coding, configuring, testing, and debugging reports, plugins, and interfaces in client environmentsMinimum 5-years working in consulting capacityStrong experience in integrations inbound/outbound with Aspect, .Net C# and SQL, product technical configurationExperience with source control and continuous integration tools (GIT, TFS, Confluence, Bamboo) and issue tracking systems (Jira, NetSuite) is requiredExperience with business reporting tools such as SAP Crystal Report, Microsoft SRSS, TableauExperience with Interface implementation following industry standard integration patternsAbility to follow design specifications and operate independently with little to no guidance from lead resourcesExperience writing detailed technical specificationsExperience working with Integrated Development environments such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, Visual Studio CodeExperience with office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePointStrong Object-Oriented SkillsStrong SQL scripting skills in Oracle or MSSQL Strong understanding of relational database conceptsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent interpersonal / consulting skills with proven experienceMust be self-motivated, independent, resourceful, and capable to take constructive feedback and strive for continuous improvementFor on-site consultants, ability to work onsite at client locations as neededAbility to work as part of a project team structure About us We're a diverse group of visionary innovators who provide trading and workflow automation software, high-value analytics, and strategic consulting to corporations, central banks, financial institutions, and governments.
