Construction Accounting ManagerJob Summary:A Construction Accounting Manager oversees and manages the financial accounting functions of an organization. This role requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction accounting/contractor accounting and knowledge of the % completion method of accounting.Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of the accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Prepare and analyze periodic financial reports, maintenance of adequate accounting records, and comprehensive controls and budgets.Ensure accurate financial reporting, maintaining fiscal discipline, and supporting the overall success of construction projects.Oversee the use of property and accounting software, such as Yardi.Assist with project profitability reports and percentage of completion method of accounting.Coordinate and facilitate the construction draw process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds for construction activities.Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.Participate in cash management and forecasting.Provide management with information vital to decision-making.Continuously assess accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementation of new processes, policies, and procedures.Requirements:CA or CPA certification with 8-10 years of experience in the real estate/construction industry.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills in decision making.Leadership and management skills.Superior ability to track and meet deadlines, focused on overcoming obstacles.
