Endocrinologist Specialist Job DescriptionDeliver high-quality, evidence-based patient-centered care within the division. Diagnose and treat complex conditions, manage patient care plans, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and supervise junior medical staff.Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, take medical histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate personalized treatment plans for injuries, illnesses, and disorders within the specialty.Prescribe and administer appropriate medication, therapy, or other specialized medical care and perform necessary procedures/surgeries related to the specialty.Liaise and consult with other medical specialists, departments, and support services to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.Document all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities to enhance patient safety and care standards.Provide instruction, guidance, and supervision to junior medical staff, residents, and students.Communicate clinical information to patients and their families in a timely and compassionate manner, obtaining informed consent for procedures as required.Required Skills and QualificationsAn MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school is mandatory.Completion of a structured clinical residency or fellowship program in the relevant specialization is also required.A minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience post-specialization, depending on DOH tier classification qualifications and specific hospital requirements.Valid Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi license or an eligibility letter to practice in Abu Dhabi is highly preferred.Current valid license from the country of last or current practice is required.Good standing with the relevant licensing authority is essential.Successful completion of the DOH licensing exam (may involve an oral assessment depending on the specialty).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous medical education (CME/CPD).Fluency in English and Arabic is required, and competence in other languages is often a distinct asset.BenefitsThe successful candidate will enjoy opportunities for professional growth, collaboration, and teamwork in a dynamic healthcare environment.OthersThis role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong analytical skills to deliver results-oriented care.
