Senior Product Manager, Video Enrichment

As a Senior Product Manager in the Video Platform team, you will lead the product strategy for AI-driven video enrichment, annotation, and transformation. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of video engineering and machine learning, aimed at enhancing the quality, contextuality, and personalization of our video experiences at scale. You will work on platform capabilities that leverage computer vision, audio analysis, and generative AI to automate enrichment workflows—ranging from metadata generation and highlight extraction to content-aware transformation and adaptive rendering. Your work will directly influence how users discover, engage with, and enjoy video on our platform.ABOUT THE TEAM:The Video Platform team at JioHotstar powers industry-leading playback and delivery infrastructure across live and on-demand content. The AI/ML Enrichment charter focuses on applying machine learning to unlock deeper understanding, better automation, and transformative user experiences across the video lifecycle from ingest to playback. This team works closely with research, video engineering, and data science to bring cutting-edge ML models into production, enabling scalable enrichment pipelines and intelligent tools that improve quality, efficiency, and interactivity.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Define and lead the roadmap for AI/ML-powered video enrichment and transformation capabilitiesCollaborate with research, ML, and engineering teams to bring computer vision, NLP, and audio models into scalable production pipelinesBuild platform tools and APIs that support enrichment tasks such as scene detection, highlight generation, face/object recognition, subtitle alignment, and audio-text taggingDrive intelligent automation of workflows like thumbnail selection, chaptering, summarization, and moderationEnable adaptive video transformation such as smart cropping, upscaling, and dehazing to optimize playback quality and device compatibilityWork with product and design teams to integrate enriched metadata into discovery, playback, personalization, and accessibility surfacesDefine success metrics, build feedback loops, and measure the impact of enrichment features on user experience, engagement, and operational efficiencyEnsure systems are privacy-aware, scalable, and performant across a vast and diverse video catalogStay abreast of emerging trends in video AI and identify opportunities for experimentation and strategic investmentSKILLS & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, especially in areas like computer vision, generative models, and multimedia signal processingExperience working with ML teams to translate model capabilities into usable product features and APIsStrong systems thinking with an ability to design scalable platforms that can handle high-volume video workflowsData- and outcome-oriented, with a track record of defining and improving success metrics for ML-powered systemsStrong collaboration skills across engineering, research, product design, and operationsComfortable navigating ambiguity and building 0→1 platforms and toolsBonus: Experience in media, OTT, or video tech domains; prior exposure to generative AI or applied computer vision use casesPREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:5+ years of product management experience preferably with a focus on ML, data platforms, media, or video technologyAbout UsPerched firmly at the nucleus of spellbinding content and innovative technology, JioStar is a leading global media & entertainment company that is reimagining the way audiences consume entertainment and sports.
