Job OverviewThe core responsibility of this position is to spearhead the development of the intelligence behind AnswerThis, a research platform designed to simplify the most time-consuming aspect of academic research: literature review. The successful candidate will be tasked with designing and deploying scalable APIs and services capable of serving hundreds of concurrent requests, architecting and implementing vector databases and embedding-based retrieval systems, and contributing directly to the infrastructure that enhances cutting-edge science efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Build and optimize semantic search pipelines, graph-based retrieval, and agentic systems.Design and deploy scalable APIs and services able to handle high traffic volumes.Develop and productionize vector databases and embedding-based retrieval systems.Work on GenAI integrations, including react agents, graph agents, prompt engineering, and LLM orchestration.Establish full-stack search engines from scratch, capable of handling real-world academic workloads.RequirementsThe ideal candidate should possess expertise in software development, data structures, algorithms, and strong problem-solving skills.
