Our company is looking for a Lead Security Expert to join our team. This position involves discovering new vulnerabilities in application source code, developing automatic vulnerability detection procedures, and providing security guidance for our products across various programming languages and frameworks.The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the field and possess skills such as familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C/C++, .NET) and multiple operating systems/RDBMS. They should also be able to collaborate with our AppScan Research Lab teams, analyze AppSec results, and identify false positives.The successful applicant will prioritize high-priority issues based on severity and likelihood of exploit, understand remediation techniques for various languages and frameworks, and execute Source Code Analysis, Reverse Engineering, and Threat Modelling.Desirable skills include experience with Static Analysis (SAST) tools and triaging application security results, proficiency in security remediation techniques and secure coding best practices, and expertise with security standards like OWASP Top 10 and CWE/SANS Top 25.Additional beneficial skills include scripting or query languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python), creating Data and Process Flow diagrams, knowledge of Taint Analysis, Architectural Risk Analysis, Threat Modelling, and Traceability Matrix.Strong communication and reporting skills are essential for this role, as well as experience working with distributed cross-functional teams and identifying/escalating risks. A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is required.This is a remote job opportunity that offers a hybrid work arrangement.
