Job Description

The company is currently looking for a CAM Programmer who will perform CAM programming for mold and fixture components, as well as design and program electrodes for CNC machining.


  • CAM program Creation

-Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, and specifications.

-Determine best methods for setting up and machining a part, Machining parameter optimizations.

-Hands on Experience in CNC Machine (VMC) operation (3, 5 axis) - FANUC / Heidenhain / Siemens control.

-Use of UG to create part models and geometry as needed.

-Right Cutter selection, Tool path generation and post processing.

-Achieve productivity, Quality, Cost and delivery Optimization by effective CAMprogramming.

-Train and Assist machine operators to read and programming sheet instructions.

-Decide 3D Part modeling, Tool selection, Tool path generation, Simulation and post processing using UG NX, for 3, 5 axis CNC Machines.

  • Documentation

-Maintain revision and quality control on programs, tool sheets, and setup documentation.

-Improve work holding and Tool holding devices for manufacturing processes.

-Plan and execute manufacturing processes with Process Scheduling team. Work on continuous improvement efforts.

-Provide Engineering and Management information that affects part quality or schedule.

-Maintain all Developed Program in proper folder for easy retrivability and reference for future.

  • Safety, 5S and Improvement

-Ensure safety in all the CAM program carried out.

-Maintain and sustain 5S work Practices relevant to CAM programming.

-Optimize the CAM program and improve on Cutter life, Machining cycle time, Cost of manufacturing


Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma / Preferable BE, Btech in Mechanical engineering / Production Engineering
  • BE - 4 years / Diploma – 7 years of CAM programming experience in CNC Milling machines – 3 / 4 / 5 Axis, Heidenhain, siemens & Fanuc control working experience
  • Good knowledge in Precision Plastic Insert Injection Mold elements manufacturing.
  • Surface finish knowledge
  • Electrode design, inspection knowledge & Quality requirements.
  • Hard part machining
  • UG NX software Hands on Experience
