Job Summary: Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Airline Operations Excellence department. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within airline operations.Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategy and Leadership:a) Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Airline Operations Excellence department.b) Lead and mentor a team of analysts and operations researchers to ensure they are motivated and aligned with department goals.c) Collaborate with senior management to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress toward operational excellence.d) Build long-term resource plans for various operational teams2. Data Analytics:a) Utilize advanced analytics techniques to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.b) Develop predictive models to optimize scheduling, resource allocation, and maintenance planning.c) Drive data-driven decision-making across the airline's operations.d) Build dashboards and monitor/control for operations excellence3. Operations Research:a) Apply operations research methodologies to solve complex problems in crew scheduling, airports, dispatch and crewb) Lead the development of optimization algorithms and tools to improve operational efficiency.c) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operations research solutions.4. Performance Improvement:a) Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within airline operations.b) Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement operational improvement initiatives.c) Monitor the effectiveness of improvement projects and adjust strategies as needed.5. Budget and Resource Management:a) Develop and manage department budgets and resource allocation plans.b) Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining operational excellence.6. Collaboration:a) Collaborate with various departments, including flight operations, maintenance, ground services, and customer service, to ensure seamless passenger experience.b) Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork to achieve operational goals.Required Skills & Experience:  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., R, Python, Power BI, Microsoft Excel).Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.Proven experience in airline operations, analytics, planning, or operations researchEducation: Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., Operations Research, Analytics, Engineering)Good to have:Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and projects effectively.A passion for innovation and driving operational excellence in the airline industry.Understanding aviation regulations and safety standards is a plus.In-depth knowledge of operations research methodologies, optimization, and simulation techniques.Location: Akasa Air Head Office - MumbaiAkasa Air does not solicit or accept any form of payment from candidates or institutions during its recruitment process.
