Job Title:Lead Application Development Engineer-: Coating, Adhesive & SealantsSummary:As a Lead Application Development Scientist at Momentive, you will work closely with a cross-functional teams to develop new silicone/silane-based additives or resins for the Adhesive and Sealants market. You will have to leverage your technical expertise to help create new innovative solutions and validate existing offerings in different Adhesive and Sealant systems, You will have the opportunity to develop a deep market understanding, establish & develop customer relationships, and deliver value-added solutions. you will work in close partnership with your sales, Technology, Marketing, Manufacturing and product stewardship colleaguesResponsibilities Include: Market Insight & Concept Development: Analyse market trends and customer needs to generate innovative product concepts with differentiated value. Technical & Formulation Support: Contribute to product design, formulation development, and technical documentation for new product introductions.Customer Engagement & Support: Provide technical assistance on product usage, benefits, and applications; address customer queries and quality concerns.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to drive growth and support new business opportunities.Training & Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions for customers, channel partners, and distributors; lead webinars and seminars as needed.Promotional & Marketing Support: Help create promotional materials (flyers, presentations, videos) and assist in organizing marketing events and sample preparations.Prototype & Competitive Analysis: Develop prototype formulations, assess competitive technologies, and propose alternative solutions.Qualifications:The following are required for the roleB. Tech/M. Tech in Chemistry/Material Science/Engineering.Minimum 15 years of experience in R&D, application development, technical sales /or formulation role in Adhesive & Sealants .Experience in the use/application of Silane Modified Polymers.Team player with good interpersonal skills.Ability for regional and international travel (Indian Subcontinent & Middle East) to customers/ distributors/events.Job travel time will be 25-30% in region.What We Offer:At Momentive, we value your well-being and offer competitive total rewards and development programs.
