Job Opportunity:We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to spearhead the growth of our Asia-based teams.The ideal candidate will be the first hire in India, responsible for building and scaling high-functioning engineering teams remotely.Key Responsibilities:Build and scale engineering teams, leading recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship to ensure long-term success and retention.Oversight of system architecture and design, ensuring scalable and secure solutions for consumer-facing platforms.Establishment and management of the engineering development process, driving modern practices in coding, testing, and deployment.Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, and Business) to deliver impactful solutions.Promotion of cloud-native development.Guarantee of platform reliability, high performance, and scalability to meet rapid growth needs.Preferred Experience:8+ years in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in an engineering management role (preferably remote teams)Proven startup experience: ability to thrive in 0→1 and high-growth environments.Hands-on experience in recruiting engineers, building onboarding programs, and creating successful teams.Background in marketplace businesses or insurance technology is highly desirable.Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and modern cloud architectures.
